Early career researchers with family
120%-Care-Grant
With the 120%-Care-Grant, the University of Bern is introducing a new support measure for postdocs with care responsibilities. The Care-Grant is intended to contribute to a better work-life balance for young researchers. It enables postdocs who are employed 80%-100% to reduce their employment level to at least 60% for a maximum of 12 months and to hire a support person with an overlapping workload.
Relief pool
The contributions from the relief pool are intended to support measures that promote the use of new working time models (job sharing, part-time) and the compatibility of career and family at professorship level. The relief pool starts with new appointments and is intended to further increase the attractiveness of the University of Bern for potential applicants.
