Offers and opportunities for partners

The University of Bern supports and assists partners of newly arrived researchers in their professional orientation in Switzerland. We offer personal consulting services and, upon request, counselling and coaching for job search. These offers are meant for partners of researchers who are employed at the University of Bern for at least three years, at postdoc level or higher. During the appointment and selection process, all candidates will be informed of the offers for partners by the Chair of the Appointment Committee.

In addition to the Office for Gender Equality, the Welcome Center is a central information and advisory service for newly appointed researchers and teachers as well as their families. We offer specific help for the time before and during your stay in Bern and advise you on topics such as finding accommodation, health insurance, budget planning, German courses, childcare and similar challenging issues.
